A Tribute To An Automobile

As the title implies, this post is a tribute to a car, not just any car, but the car which in some way, saved my mom's life and prevent me and my sisters from becoming orphans.=).

The car is an 11 year old Ford Ranger XLT number plate WHT 4356.=). A decade old pickup truck. here's some pictures of it.=).

The few pictures i had while it's still in a good shape.=)

A picture taken while it's in Jelebu, a.k.a our family's weekend getaway.=)

Here are some of the pictures taken in Jelebu.

the house in the middle surrounded by mist is our house=)

some of the front view photos.

another front view photo in the morning, our house is covered by mist almost every morning.=)

this is the back view, sorry for the photo prob, dont know what happened to it.=S..

In this place, you wont hear all the traffic jam noise, polluted enviroment and such, all you'll experience is a quiet and peaceful place. That's why we called it our weekend getaway.=P, to getaway from all the city rush.=D.

What happened on that day is, my mom on her way driving down the hills, as you can see, our house is located on top of a hill, so you'll need drive down from the hills before you can reach the tarmac roads.=)

So, when she was on her way down the hill, suddenly the car's brake failed and my mom couldnt slow down the car on a steep slope.=(. then the car just went down a 20 feet high cliff. my mom said it was horrifying and trust me, it is. here are some photos of the car after the crash.

As you can see, the car is wrecked beyond repair, even if repair is attempt, the car will not be as rigid as before. So, it's declared total lost.=(.

If you look carefully at the forth picture, you'll notice that the driver compartment didnt deformed towards inside, if that were to happen, anyone driving the car will not be around anymore. This is also why i said this car saved my mom as the car structure is reinforced with rigid steel to prevent the whole from deforming too much even if heavy force is applied to the car. =).

Anyhow, after the accident, my mom had to rest in home for almost 3 months till fully recovered.=(. but thank god, she's fine now.=)..

And another good news is, a new pickup is introduced to our car family..=D..The Mitsubishi Triton 2.5.=D.

such a gorgeous looking pick up truck.=)..

May you rest in peace WHT4356. =)

The food was really good till i eat almost 3 round..=P..but at the same time, we should be thankful for the food and be grateful.

When i was looking around in my aunt's house, i saw something i really like, it's a model of MAS boeing 777-200, but unfortunately, i couldnt take a picture of it cause its placed at the top of the shelf..=(..which is about 9 feet tall..zzz..

Happy Chinese New Year!!

Happy Chinese New Year!! hope everyone will have a prosperous Chinese New Year..moo~~..=D..well, time sure passes fast, just like how u try to hold sand, it just slip right over your fingers, without realizing it, it's been a year since the day i stopped my work at Waffle World, and now i'm studying to pursue my dream. *will tell more about my working life soon..=P*

Yesterday before Chinese New Year, Me, my mom and sis went to Sunway Pyramid to do some last minute cny shopping. We went to the fruit shop first that located at the LG2, the price there are quite reasonable, but i encounter the most shocking fruit i ever seen in my life so far..0.O..look at the photo and you'll understand..XD..

The King of Apples..freshly imported from japan with JAL cargo..=D..The price shown is included fuel surcharge and import fees..XD..

look at the size of it..o.O..

i wonder how long will it take to eat it, not because of it's size, but how i want to savour each and every bite, cost about 3 ringgit for each bite.=S.

Of course, we didnt walk away from the shop empty handed..=D..we bought 3 boxes of strawberries, imported from egypt, and it only cost 10 ringgit for 3. Last holiday when i went to Cameron Highlands, the charge us 5 ringgit for one small box. the taste of them both is almost the same, =S. isnt it weird? strawberries that's imported from egypt is cheaper than the local ones.

The Government even said to support local goods, if so, shouldnt they have lower the price to more reasonable?=)..

This time i'll write shorter a bit, cause i'm watching The Shopaholic, real funny..XD..next post will be more on my Part time working life..=D..

cheers~~and Happy Chinese New Year!!=D..

Having A Good Time

Haha! i was chatting with my elder sis online just now, then she mention bout the madagascar 2, the scene where the penguin name skipper did an announcement on the "aircraft"..XD..

Skipper said: This is your captain speaking. We got good news and bad news. The good news is, we will be landing immediately. The bad news is, we are crash landing. Thank you for choosing to fly with Air Penguin, although there is actually no other option.

haha! almost lmao when i saw that..XD..imagine if you were on board an aircraft, then the suddenly the captain made an announcement similliar to that..lol..

well, let's move on to the next topic, =D. where me and my college mates went to Mid Valley to do some CNY shopping..hell yeah!!..=P

We took the KTM to MV, and we wait for almost 45 mins for the train to come, and take my advice, never take the KTM if you are rushing to somewhere or having an important appointment that day, there's 99% possibility you'll be late.=S. yup, leave it to KTM to ruin your day. Do you know why they manage to keep this kind of reputation even with all the complaints?KTM = Kerana Tiada Maruah..XD

And did you all ever heard of those train molestor? those who M****R FU***R who touch other's bottom in the train?..that day i saw one right infront of my eyes.

It happens like this, Me, Sean and Chee Ping was sitting in a row, and as the train starts to approach MV, people was starting to fill up the train and making it harder and harder for the passengers to stand. then there's this two malay ladies standing infront of me, and here come's the super horny malay guy with moustache standing infront of sean.

The lady's back was facing that guy, while it's normal since she's facing her friend, chit chating.=). then this horny bas***d uses his pinky finger to poke the poor lady's bottom, me and sean was like what the F? at first, we thought maybe the guy accidently poke her, but as we observe for a little while more, it's obviously he's molesting her. errghh..it's people like him that should be tied up and put on the train rails.

Me and Sean quickly stand up and gave our seats to the two malay lady, and you can imagine that the Bast*** looks a bit dissapointed. it makes me think, why do this kind of people do that? what kind of benefit will they gain? in fact, they are not gaining anything but losing dignity. So all the guys out there, if you see something like that happening right infront of your eyes, hope u'll all do the same thing.=)..a lot of these things is happening in KTM as i presumed..because? here's some interesting abbreviation again..=)..KTM = Kumpulan Train Molestor..XD..

The rest of the trip me and sean was standing till we reached MV, except for the other guys who sleep all the way there eh?XD.

The bridge to the gardens, the light effects look as though it's the milky way.

cant wait to see the magical word..."SALES"..=D

Haha..faris looks segan infront of that poster..=P

Future David Copperfield = Magiton = Arton (real name).XD.

The decoration in The Gardens, *that's part of ah piang head*..=D

Everyone's on the way to TOPSHOP..

After a period of long and exhausting shopping, all of us are getting ready to go back to nilai, that time was about 9.30pm..=)..

Mr. William Posing again..lol..

Almost fall asleep in the KTM, i'm the second from the left.

The clock shows the arrival time is 21:53, but bear in mind, in malaysia, you have to add at least 20 mins to the time for the exact arrival time..XD..

kenk3n taking photos, for his blog i presumed..XD..his add is www.kenk3n.wordpress.com

Me taking photos as well for this blog..=D

Felix here demonstrating his ultra fast "hamsap" hands..XD..soon to join the KTMs..lol..

Guess who?XD..

After around 40 mins, the KTM arrived and we are finally on our way back to the college..=D..thank god..=)..

An Expensive But Worthy Lesson

Today, i was cleaning up my book rack, thinking of putting my last sem's course notes in the lower compartment, since i'm not goin to use it anytime soon.=)..

Then when i took out Module 6 course notes, it reminds me of an incident that happened not long ago. it happens like this, from the start of the sem, we were given 3 books, so we studied it as usual for the whole sem. But, when i was preparing for the EASA exam, i looked into the syllybus that was coming out for exam, and i notice that we havent cover the bearings, pipes and unions and cables throughly, i looked into the course notes and couldnt find it. So as my last resort, i just took all the basic notes from my lecturers slide and studied that. i know that wasnt enough, but i just cross my fingers before i went into the exam hall.

Well, as the chinese always said, ' good things doesnt come, bad things will come' *dont know whether if that's the correct translation*..XD..almost 20 questions out of 72 questions i dont know how to solve, which could almost immediatly assumed that i failed this paper..=(..after i came out from the exam hall, i could see that i'm not alone in this matter. a lot of my course mates also dont know how to solve which is mostly bout the chapters i mentioned.

All of us was thinking, might there be a fourth book that the college forget to give us? is it because of them that contributes to our failure? this questions keep on buzzing in my mind..

About 4 days later, i was asked by the HOD of DAIR to get the course notes for Basic Hydraulics And Pneumatic System. While i was looking for it in the mac centre, there was a lot of course notes lying around, and one of the course notes caught my attention.

I couldnt help it but take a look in the content, and this answered the question i had in my mind..There IS a fourth book, this book basically covered all the chapters that include bearings, pipes and unions and cables.

I went and find the HOD to ask him about it, from this point, i'll refer him as Mr. K.

L : Sir, there's something bout the Material and Hardware course notes that i need to talk to you about.

Mr. K : ok, what is it?

L : just now when i was in the Mac centre, i found out that my batch was not given all the course notes, there's an additional book that's missing, and now the junior get to have it while me nd my batch mates didnt get it and went for the easa exam.

Mr. K : Well, you see here, if the lecturer of that particular subject are lack of certain course notes, he have to tell me about it and i'll do something bout by calling the UK people..and as far i know, no lecturers have spoken to me about it. and i cant take care all the subjects, the lecturers have to do it, they were not hired to just stand here, talk then go home sleep, they have to do research and prepare enough notes for the students. *he's starting to get annoyed and trying to make himself looks like the good guy*

L : so sir, if that's the case, what do u plan to do about it?

Mr. K: Well, i'll try to find out what's the problem and i'll get back to you later.

*end of conversation* do u see how smart he is? talk all those stuffs making us couldnt question anything bout him? and eventhough he said he'll get back to me, he didnt.

There's a second conversation involved with the lecturer of the subject but i'll just give u a summary as i'm lazy to type it out..XD..

when i asked him bout it, he straight away told me that he told Mr. K earlier bout it that there's insufficient course notes and blah blah..

what i was thinking bout that time, is that if he were to know that there's a fourth book, isnt he doing something wrong by not telling us bout it? it's like giving us a push while we are crossing a narrow bridge over the grand canyon. without the book, we are almost 95 percent comfirmed failing, i'll leave the 5 percent to luck..=P..and it's not cheap to resit..=S..RM400..zzz..

X 8

yup, u read that correctly and i didnt type wrongly.. total 8 piece of RM 50..=S..

After that incident, i asked a lot of advices from some friends and certain forums, the best replied i gotten is this :
'well nothing is impossible bro all you need to do is refer to the official journal of the European union syllabus guide and from there you can see wht are the topic you need to cover and when u hove done that go and explore with some books you can find in the library .. as a trainee we need to work hard at times don't be depending so much on your institute notes the more you explore the more knowledge you can gain.'

after reading that, it's like someone just knock me in the head, and i realize that it's not ok to just rely on the course notes, we have study and research more on our own to enhance our knowledge and make ourselves more equipped before going to work on the aviation field.=)..

so if i really did failed and have to pay the RM 400 to resit, i'll gladly pay and take it as a lesson..which prove to me how much i rely on the coursenotes.=)

So guys, remember, even if the roads are there, you have to make an attempt to walk those roads, do not expect someone to come and give you a ride. At the end of the day, it all depends on your own effort. =)
cheers~~

A Normal Day

it's a normal day in NUC..just came back this morning..=)..
before i was in NUC..i found this two advertisement banner while browsing aimlessly in forums the other day at home..=D. Although these two ads might be published long time ago d, but i think i should share it with the ppls who haven't seen it yet.=D..come on, Airasia directly and indirectly counter MAS's ad..brilliant and daring..=D
But the Airasia ad, i don't know bout you guys, but to me, doesn't she looks like she just gotten her arm bended at the wrong part or got slammed under the car bonnet?XD..that gives me the creeps..lol..

here's some photo me and my friend Charles took when i went to "planeseeing"..=)..got it? 'sightseeing'? 'planeseeing'?..=D..

Airbus 330-200

the boeing triple-7, gorgeous looking aircraft.=D.

The combination of both Mankind's greatest invention in transportation industry

i guess that's all for today, need to get back to my homework = prepare questions for Mr V.Singh.. =)..oh ya, and i learnt a lesson today, from a movie called "teeth", every rose has it's thorn..very true, dont just look at everything by the looks, most importantly..what's beneath it..=)..*althought i dont really recommend the movie to anyone who cannot stand boring movies*..XD..

The Beginning

Hello and welcome to my very first post..=D..

One of the few reasons i'm writing this is so that in few years time..i can look back and say: 'wow..did i really went thru all this for the past few years?' and perhaps, it would bring back some good memories that might slipped from my LTMs (long term memory) eh?

Well, early this year, i picked up a new hobby..an expensive one..XD..collecting aircraft models, one of these babies could easily exceed RM100. But to me, it's worth it, by just looking at it always reminds me bout what i'm aiming to become and that's what i'll became..=)

here's the pictures of my recently "touchdown" aircraft model..it's a hogan 1:200 scale MAS boeing 747-400 with hibiscus livery.

it's my very first model and my favourite one as well *since it's the only nice model i have*..XD..althought i did have another model before this..the quality isnt very good, and detailing? well, it's best not to get to that part. here's some picture of it..it's an Airasia A320 with Visit Malaysia 2007 livery.

See what i'm trying to say? the wing's leading edge looks as thought it had suffered laminar corrosion. see the double layer in the third picture? what can i say, the picture they published in the website looks pretty nice, which makes me think " wow, that's pretty good for an aircraft model at that price.", but when it arrived at my doorstep..u can imagine what's my reaction..XD..i guess the price indicates the quality, for RM49, i cant complain too much isnt it?=)
well..i guess that's all for my first post, will update more whenever i could.
time to get back to my 'mountain of knowlege' aka course notes..=D
*full throttle*~~
