Surrogates, Our World's Future?

once again, thanks nuffnang for the tickets..=D..
it seems like recently, everytime i go cinemas,
i don't need to pay anything, just
go to the counter and get the tickets..XD..

last Monday, i went to Cathay cineplex to watch surrogates,
10 days before the official release of the movie..=D.

here's the synopsis of the movie:

FBI agents (BRUCE WILLIS and RADHA MITCHELL) investigate the mysterious murder of a college student linked to the man who helped create a high-tech surrogate phenomenon that allows people to purchase unflawed robotic versions of themselves – fit, good looking remotely controlled machines that ultimately assume their life roles – enabling people to experience life vicariously from the comfort and safety of their own homes. The murder spawns a quest for answers: in a world of masks, who’s real and who can you trust?

the movie start off with some brief introduction of how the
surrogates are being made and how it being introduce
to the human society.

it start off pretty well, saying that you can do stuffs you cant
do with your normal body, while being safe at your own house.

then things starts to go wrong, surrogates users starts dying
when the surrogates are being destroyed.
so the story starts there.

it will not say more bout the movie as it will provide
spoiler. XD

my opinion of the movie, it's like a combination of few movies,
" district 9, gamer, resident evil"

you'll notice it when u watch it..=D..

surrogates being charged.
and Bruce Willis in his flesh form.

now let's see the pros and cons if surrogates
were really introduce to the world.

pros:
1) do anything dangerous that you want and not have a single scratch on yourself.
2) you wont feel tired..at all.
3) the only cause of death will be heart attack and not murder.
4) you can have your food without getting into long queues in restaurant.
(just have your food in the house)

cons:
1) you'll sit in couch all day long, and when you have to recharge your surrogates,
you'll just get up from your sit and go to the nearest couch..=.=
2) lack of exercise can seriously cause heart disease.
3) there will be no more sports on TV as athletes will just use their
surrogates to enter the competition.
4) there'll never be kids running around in the neighbourhood.
5) exam hall have to be fitted with surrogates detector to
prevent student using surrogates to take their papers.
(can check answers at the comfort of your home)

last but not the least,
every surrogates users will be like this..XD

Are Drivers In Malaysia Qualified?

it's been 3 years ++ since the day
i got my driving license, and the first thing
i did was take my mom's car key and drive around my
neighbourhood. it was fun to drive ya know?

but after this years? i still love driving..guess what
i hate..yup..other inconsiderate drivers.

let me list out the drivers that i hate.
1) Tail Gaters ( bastards who drive with their car sticking to others car backside and flashing lights )
2) Drivers who don't use their indicator, and those who doesnt understand how to use one.
3) Drivers who uses the handphone while driving.

let me describe:
1) Tail Gaters basically means bastards who drive with their car sticking to others car backside with almost no tolerance at all, and flashing the headlights to tell others to get out of the way.
how i feel bout them? well, they put up speed limits for a reason a**holes, if you want to go 180km/h, please go to a race track and stop bothering safe drivers who wants to stick to the speed limit.

2) If you had drove in malaysia, you'll definitely notice this, drivers who dont use their indicator when changing lanes, there's been N times when i was driving, a car just change to my lane infront of me without using the signal, and worse of all, slow down..
come on, how hard can it be to just flick the turn signal?damn..

3) to be frank, sometimes i use the handphone while driving, well, i'm not proud of it but at least, i'll looking at the road while sms-ing and using loudspeaker for conversation,
there's this while i was driving in kl, a car infront of suddenly slows down infront of me, almost feels as thought she hit the emergency brake, and when i drove pass her,
she was looking down at her phone without looking where she was going.=.=:

that's basically what you'll look like..=.=

what actually causes all of this to happen?
in my opinion, it's because how easy drivers here get their
driving license, just go for your undang lesson, take your test which is easy
as ABC, do the driving test which now basically, you can just bribe the
invigilator. and give it about 2 weeks, you get your license.

if baby werent too short to reach the
gas pedal and steering, even them can get a driving
license.

just to make things interesting, what if
the law of malaysia enforces that in future
time, the driving license will be so tough
to acquire like a pilot's flying license.

you have to undergo massive training, and must
accumulate enough driving hours to convert
a P license to a permenant license.

not just wait 2 years and go renew your license.
that's what i think the problem all drivers had
now. so to make them more conscious bout driving like a
decent human being, we should start by making them
cherish their driving license as not to drive like an idiot
to get penaltilize and lost their license.=D..

and for last..to all drivers out there, please watch this video..
hope you'll think twice before speeding..thank you.=)

Time Is Slipping

i had abandoned my blog for the past few days, mainly because i had spent quite a lot of time thinking of ideas to make the video i'm going to submit.

yup, the video that i submitted for Digi's pimp my broadband contest. after i done with that video, i notice something, i havent been using my "creativity" part of my brain lately.

those days, i could come out with a brand new idea in just about a moment, but this time, i used up almost 3 days just to think of the idea..=.=, and production time,
it's a total 6 days..
sigh..am it's as thought i'm turning into a snail. slow,
and feeling the surroundings with it's anttena, for me, it's like i'm moving around in the dark, there's no light to guide me around.

wait a sec..this is getting weird, ok, let's get back to some more cheerful stuffs.=D.

next week at thurs, me and my course mates are going
to Kota Kinabalu, cant wait for it,
it's been awhile since we went
to the other part of malaysia.

what i could hope for this time,
is nothing will go wrong,
if you had read my post on the melaka trip,
my car breakdown and the trip ended
in the most awful way..=.=

and rest assured, this time,
i'm bringing my DSLR, so there
will be ton of photos..=D..

till next time~~
*peace out*

Petronas Dynamic Diesel

All this while, people just talks bout the new RON 95
that came into service a couple weeks ago..=).

then i thought, why not we talk bout the new
Dynamic Diesel that Petronas had introduced
together with the RON 95 at september 1st.

well, not much car manufacturers in malaysia,
provide the choice of diesel engines in their cars,
except for the pickup trucks, lorries and buses.

and here's the car that tested the new diesel..=).

My mom's 2.5 litre DI-D engine Mitsubishi Triton.

i had done a couple of road trips with the new diesel,
i must say, the acceleration and normal road driving does feel
a lot smoother, and the fuel economy? not much of a difference.
but as i mentioned last time in my RON95 post.

fuel economy is affected by various factors and
not just the fuel quality.

according to the petronas website.
it said that they have added a new addictive
package into the fuel,
called the SINAR D07.

it's believe that with this new addictive.
it will greatly improve the lifespan of the car's engine
because as you happily burn away
the fuel, it cleans your engine as well,
so the more you, the cleaner your engine gets..XD

and dont worry too much bout exhaust emission,
they have remedied the prob and
lessen the exhaust emission compared to the
old diesel.

well, so far, this new diesel had given me a better driving
experience due to the better acceleration
and such. but to truly test the fuel, it's said that
at least 10 full tanks are required..

so..8 more tanks to go..=.=
till a more detailed feedback..

Real Life Transformers

So you are thinking that there might
really be a transformer lurking around in disguise
as a car in our roads?

Sorry to disappoint you all, but what i meant is the
transformation of a particular car model
through out the years..XD

the car i'm talking bout today, is the Hyundai Sonata.

first years back then, when it first released,
the design wasnt impressive at all,
looks like slim down mercedes C class,
u know, the one with the headlights
that looks like a peanut?

updated 4th generation.

i didnt start from the 1st generation because
it all looks very boring..so i'll start from the 4th
generation..=D

The fifth generation.

updated fifth generation, and currently the model that's still
selling in malaysia. Price range from RM115k to RM120k.

i have to say, i'm not a big fan of
korea's cars. because it just doesnt impress
me in any way.
because when you buy a car, you must
ask yourself, what does the car have that
makes me want to buy it?
and all the previous model just wasnt attractive enough.

but now Korea had came out with something
that's jaw breaking to me..

So, brace yourself, as this will be the
brand new Hyundai Sonata.

nope, it's not a concept art. it's for real.

it's powered with a 2.0 litre engine
which produces 165ps at 6200rpm,
perfect for the roads here in malaysia..=D

such a beauty..
*
*
*
the car.

the interior design is not too shabby too..=)..
do have the executive looks to it.

the rear, looks disturbingly like some other car's rear,
but i just cant recall, do drop a comment if
you know which car it looks like..=D..

If this car were to sell in malaysia for the usual price
range, i'm sure this will be a big hit
in malaysia..=D.

Whiteout, See Your Last Breath?

The Nuffnang premiere screening this time will be
Whiteout, by lead actress Kate Beckinsale.

let start off with the synopsis..=D

Antarctica. The coldest and most isolated place on earth. Temperatures drop to 120 below. Winds whip across the ice at over 100 miles an hour. Home to one of the deadliest forces in the world—the whiteout.

It’s a place U.S. Marshal Carrie Stetko (KATE BECKINSALE) won’t miss. As the lone law enforcement agent at the Amundsen-Scott Research Station, her tenure here has been not only harsh but uneventful. In three days, when the station powers down and the sun sets for the long winter, she’ll be getting out; leaving Antarctica for good and turning in her badge for a new life.

But when a body is discovered in the no-man’s land on the open ice, Stetko is plunged into a shocking mystery. Bizarrely battered and miles from camp, the dead man is Antarctica’s first homicide victim and Stetko’s first real challenge in a long time.

Her investigation soon involves U.N. Special Agent Robert Pryce (GABRIEL MACHT), sent to monitor her progress in this ungoverned territory. As the case takes a deadly twist and a 60-year-old secret is unearthed, Stetko herself becomes a target. Pryce could prove to be a powerful ally—but only if solving the murder is what he’s really after.

With only days before the last plane out, Stetko must race to unravel the mystery or risk being stranded on the ice as darkness—and the killer—closes in.

and this time, Nuffnang is giving away tickets for this movie premiere screening, what we need to do to get the tickets?

easy, just leave a comment here.

OR, post a photo of how you would dress yourself if you are going to catch a murderer in antartica.=D..

and so..here's what i'll be wearing..XD..

well, i'll be using camouflage tactics..and when the
murderer make his moves, i could easily hide myself in the
snowstorm and beat him up from behind..*laughing*..

so that's it, thanks for the tickets in advance, nuffies who's reading this..=D

Is RON 95 Petrol Bad?

well, it's been half a month since the new RON 95 petrol has been officially released, and i'm pretty sure most of you drivers out there had been using this fuel eversince then and part ways with the more expensive RON 97.

So far, the only petrol i used is the petronas 95, and i'm an 97' iswara driver, and just like what the fuel companies promised, it will affect your car in a bad way.

fuel consumption is normal to me, which is 12km/L, same as when i was using RON 97..and
performance wise? come on, it's an iswara, do you think there's a need to
talk about performance? i'm grateful thinking that my car still have it's
previous acceleration.=)

but after browsing around the internet to read some other RON 95 customer feedback, their comment are just exaggerating.

stating that their car's performance is dramatically worsen, fuel consumption
is so high as though there's a leak in the fuel tank.=.=:

yup, that's how it looks like..=.=:

about all this comments, i have a good theory for this, because before the RON95 is introduced, everyone is pumping RON 97 and everyone's happy with the RM1.80 price which is lower than the RM1.92 a year ago.

then when they introduce the RON 95, which is the same price as the RON 97 before the price hike. so in their mind, they are paying the same price for a lower octance fuel.

so before even using it, they have the preconception that it's rubbish fuel. therefore, everytime they drive, they will unconciously find reasons to the cause of lack of power, worsen fuel consumption, lower top speed.

even if i'm not an automobile expert, i know that all those are variable factors, you cant just blame it all on the fuel. fuel consumption high, might caused by aggresive driving style or city driving where all the time you'll be doing 10 km/h during traffic jam.

if i were to list them all out, this post will go on forever.XD..

to sum it all up, after two full tanks of Primax 95, my car feels perfectly fine, dont have such nonsense as engine knocking, car underpowered.

oh ya, i got a better solution for car underpowered, go get a new car and better car.

want better fuel consumption? get a lower cc car and stop driving like a maniac..=)

and get your car periodically serviced. car is something that's consist of wear-and-tear parts. so dont expect your car to perform as good as the day it rolled out from the factory 10 years later without servicing.

so to readers, do leave a comment if you found that there's some other brand of petrol that perform as well as RON97

Finally, I Got It!

Finally, the day has come,
this is the moment where i finally
get my hands on my dream camera..=D
if you had been reading my blog,
you'll know what my dream cam is.=P
and here it is!!

it's the Canon EOS 500D!!
Hell Yeah!!
i cant describe how i excited i am..XD.

in just two days, i have taken more than 600 shots.lol..
i went shutter berserk..non stop testing how the
shutter speed and aperture affects the photo
results..=D

i bought this in 1 utama, a shop named Foto-shangri la,
the salesman there really took his time
to explain everything to me,
eventhought i'm just a 20 year old
who doesnt look like i'm going to buy a cam.
and he even teach me how to use a DSLR,
it takes about 30 minutes ++.
it was like a crash course..XD

before i decided to buy this model,
i did consider the Nikon D5000, but
it just doesnt feel right to me,
the autofocus is a bit slower than
the canon, and the buttons are
just too confusing..=.=.

i'll come up with a more detail review
bout the Canon EOS 500D soon,
just need more time to experiment with it..=D

so below are just some photos i taken the first 2 days.

i started the interest in photography 1 month ago,
so there's still a lot more for me to learn..=)
if you are reading this,
please do not hesitate to leave your critics
and comments.=D

Ogawa's Best Deal Yet!

althought it's a bit late now, but if you are reading this,
there's a treat for you!.=D..
because nuffnang is giving out discount vouchers
for certain items that's selling in Ogawa.=D

The items are : Eye Touch, Eye Tune, Enviro Vacuum, and Omron Thermometer.=D.
The price they offer is just simply jaw dropping..

for more information just click here.

there, you'll find a list of coupon, just save it,
then print it out, black and white will be just fine.=).

well, for me, i got myself an Eye Tune,
the offer price is RM180,
which is RM519 less than the usual price.=D.

personally, i would recommend the Eye Tune, it's better
than the Eye Touch,
in the sense that it provide 2 other
type of massage,
which is air pressure and thermal.
the Eye Touch only have vibration,
which doesnt really makes me feel relax..=.=:
it's like having a vibrator straped to your head..

the buttons are easy to understand,
the only flaw bout the piece of equipment is
that when you are using the air pressure massage,
this thing will vibrate,
it tends to be kinda annoying.

that's not all, it have a 512MB Mp3 Player inside the controller,
but one warning, before you open the files
inside your com, format the folder first,
because the two Eye Tunes i bought,
there's virus and malware inside it.=.=:

all in all, i'm satisfied with the product,
except the vibrate controller i just mentioned.=)

so what are you waiting for?
the promotion is until the 30th of September.
click the link and download the coupons.=D

Beyond A Reasonable Doubt Review

once again, thanks to nuffnang for the special screening invites
to watch this movie before the actual release date which is one month later.
at first impression, i thought it will be a so-so movie,
but when i'm watching it,
it's just awesome!! the twisting plot and such..=D..

The Tickets..=)

i'll try my best not to mention any spoilers,
once i mention it,
there will be totally no point in watching it..
it's like watching a football match where
you already know who won..

from the poster,
you'll found out that it's a story of
a guy who frame himself for murder,
but why?

now that's the reason we are watching the movie,
arent we?=)

let's start off with the synopsis..=)

High profile lawyer, Mark Hunter has an impeccable record putting criminals behind bars and is a shoo-in for governor in the upcoming election. But when ambitious rookie journalist, C.J. Nicholas begins investigating Hunter for tampering with evidence to secure his convictions, the district attorney's perfect record is up for scrutiny. Commencing a risky game of cat and mouse with Hunter, C.J. frames himself as a murder suspect to catch the corrupt D.A. in the act. Romantically involved with C.J. but unaware of his assignment, assistant D.A. Ella Crystal becomes caught between her boss's political ambitions and C.J.'s dangerous expose. As mounting evidence stacks up against both men, Ella's own life becomes threatened when she discovers incriminating proof that puts the fate of both C.J's innocence and Hunter's reputation in her hands.

dont think off the movie as a boring just talk only movie,
there's scene where it makes me literally
wanted to stand up from my seat.
yup, it's that exciting..=D..

Michael Douglas star as Mark Hunter.

holding one of the last minute
"proof"

doing what he could to
put people behind bars..?

giving out comments after each trial.

amber tamblyn and jesse metcalfe,
star as ella krsytal and C.J. Nicholas.=)

here are more pictures about the movie.=)

so C.J succeed in framing himself for murder,
but will he be able to get out in the end?
that's for you all to find out.
so go watch it when it's officially released..=D.

My rating for the movie:
9/10

a good movie to watch and talk about.
a little element of all the things
i like in a movie..=)
