Taiwan Day 1..=D.

It's now 12 in the afternoon and i'm now in KLIA..=D..after me and my mom check in our luggages, we went to McDonald to wait for my mom's friends..=)..me, however, as normal, walk around in the airport as though it's my first time there..XD..

the details of my flight is Flight Number CI0722, departing at 14.20, gate 35..=D. one of the dissapointment i had is that the plane is changed from A340 to the A330, mainly because of lack of passengers which would make it to wasteful to use a big plane to fetch that few of passengers..=(

i couldnt take a shot while the aircraft takes off because of the regulations of unable to use any electronic devices during take off and landing.=.=..the feeling is just great with the pilot putting the engine to full throttle and you'll feel a force pushing you back to the seat..=D..

the flight is schedule to reach taipei around 1900. the crusing speed is approximately 860km/h and it touched down at taoyuan airport at 1902.=)..well, the airport isnt exactly pretty, kinda old fashioned if i must say..XD..

yup, looks like the 70's..

afterwards, we took a bus to the nearest train station, cost us around 4 ringgit, because the information counter said it will cost us NT200 to reach our destination but it will take about 2 and a half hours to reach. that'll make us reach the motel very late as it's already 7.30, so we decided to take the train, some sort like a bullet train..the ticket for it cost more which is NT540 but we'll reach the motel after 25 minutes..=D..

the more good point of the train in taiwan is that it's very sharp in time, if it says 20.03 time of arrival, it'll never be later than that time, and each passengers is assigned with their seats, no need to rush to get a seat, unlike the malaysia's train system, which will never be on time and u'll have to struggle to get a place to even stand.=.=:..and guess how fast is the train travelling?.

251km/h, and inside it feels like it's moving at 60km/h..no kidding, it's really that comfortable, the view outside is like a flashing show, passing over in a very fast rate..=D..they even have waitress to serve you food or drinks if you want..of course, you'll have to pay..XD..

after exactly 25 mins, we reached our destination and went to take a cab, that's the next surprise to me, in malaysia, the only public cab i see is either proton saga or proton waja, but here in taiwan, you got more variety, let me list them out..

1) Toyota Corrolla Altis

2) Toyoto Camry

3) Toyota Wish

4)Mitsubishi Lancer

5) Nissan Bluebird ( Slyphy in malaysia)

6) Toyota Vios and more..

i was like what..? so i choose the cab i want (you'll know which one is it if you know me well..XD.) and head towards the motel, it cost us NT550 to get from the train station to the motel, (will upload the photos of the motel in the next post..=P)..and next destination? the night market, finally it's time to spend the money not only on transportation but FOOD~~~

i think by goin to just this night market, i have gained quite some pound of fats..zz..but just couldnt help it, i stopped at almost all the stalls..XD..one of the taiwan's must try is their papaya milk, the milk they use is "ling fong ying", it's the brand of the milk and trust me, it's not like the dutch lady we drank here, it taste a lot nicer..=D..

after filling my tummy over the normal limit (makes me look as though i have 2 months pregnancy..=.=)..we all went back to the motel and get some rest, because we going to go for a praying ceremony which will probably take the entire day, but that's why we are here in taiwan..=)..

Taiwan..Here I Come!!

In less than 16 hours, i'll be on an airplane heading towards taiwan..=D..i cant describe how exciting i am right now..it's been so many years since the last time i went for international flights, and since the day i took this course, i have never been on an airplane before, what i can say is the way i look at how an airplane works will be different..=D..

so far, what i know is that i'll be taking china airlines to taiwan..=D, and the plane that i'll be taking is an airbus A340 to taiwan, and on the way back, it's an A330..=D..and it's flight 722..=)..

This post is mainly to thanks my mom for supporting me in everything that i have wanted to do and wanted to become.=)..

If you have been following my blog or know me well enough, you will know that i have always wanted to become a pilot.=D..although the road towards that career is not easy, but the road have been set, all i need to do now is make an attempt to walk those roads..=)..of course, it's better to have support from loved ones..=)..and i'm truly grateful for having my mom to support me. recently, my mom dedicated a wish on behalf of me in the buddhist newspaper. below is the cut out of it..=D..if you understand mandarin, you can read the third name, and the message following it.

mine is on the 7th line.=)

i'm not really good at translating mandarin to english, but here goes : "i hope my wish of becoming a pilot can be achieve".=D..

once again, thanks a lot mom, that really had made me feel a lot more confident in accepting all the challenges ahead and i do hope, one day, i'll succeed.=)

My Very First..

Just in case if you don't know what that is, let me tell you..it's a ticket, not the kind of ticket where you go to concert or movies. it's a fined ticket, the M**J had fined me a hefty RM100 for just not parking at an appropriate space. Well, that might sound very wrong, but to be frank, the place where i somehow illegal parked is not inconsidered, it's under the bridge near the PJ Hilton hotel, and RM100? who set all this rates anyways? it must have set by a bunch of fat ass that sits on an office chair doing nothing and waits for the end of each month to arrive. and guess what, it's my very first ticket being issued for my car, to be frank, it wasnt very joyful to walk back to your car and found a ticket being clipped on your windscreen.=S

and it's not like i blocked the road or something, i admit it's illegal but not inconsiderate.=S. what really pissed me off the most is the car infront of me which also did an illegal parking didnt get fined, i dont know why that happened, maybe because the owner of that car got a royal badge at the car number plate and it's a merc? maybe i should get one of those badges someday, stick it to my car plate and parked in the middle of road.XD..

i have started learning names of different colours since i was..3? and i'm pretty sure, that's not grey..XD..man, what kind of numbskull who cant even diffrentiate brown and grey? M**J, you guys sure had gotten urself an employee which is either colour blinded or have no understanding of different colours.XD..after that, my mom called one of her friend who worked in KL, which means he often parked illegally..lol..he said that we dont need to care much bout tickets like this, we can just throw it away and moved on.=D..thank god for that..=P

and today's May 15th, it marked the end of the "who wants to be a pilot" blog competition. now it's a total of 35 shortlisted candidates, which we will probably gather together at the Air Asia Academy around mid June, to undertake the first stage .=D..

let's just say, congrats to all the shortlisted candidates, and to all the people who submitted but didnt get shortlisted, do not give up and keep on working hard towards your dream. this is not the end and it's just a matter time and oppurtunity.=)..cheers..=)

let me give you a little preview of the upcoming posts..it's going to be a rather rewarding post if it worked..=P..

Have you McValue LUNCHtm-ed this week?

"Mcdonald", ask 100 people and 99 of them will definitely know what it is, the 1 person who doesnt know probably didnt step out from the house before.  Mcdonald have always came out with different kind of Burgers which sometimes available only at limited periods, for

 example the prosperity burger..nyum..=)..

But now, they have came up with an even better one, it's the McValue LUNCH..=D..unlike the prosperity burger, it's available 7 days a week, from 12 pm to 3pm, not to mention the variety

 of choices available now. The set comes with a medium carbonated soft drink and a medium

 french fries.

Currently there are 2 types of McValue Lunch, one cost RM.5.95 and the other is RM 7.95. the choices of burger for the RM5.95 set are McChicken and Filet-o-fish. The RM 7.95 however is the Big Mac and My all time favourite, Spicy Chicken McDeluxe.=D. The best thing bout the McValue Lunch is that the price is very reasonable as a normal Nasi Kandar can easily cost you RM 5 without the drinks and you have to eat in a rather uncomfortable place.lol.

enough said then, next up would be my experience with the McValue lunch.=D..

To start things up, i'm a college student, currently studying in NUC. it was a typical saturday afternoon where i'll usually go have lunch in the college's Canteen, but today for no good reason, all the stalls are closed, leaving me and my friends craving for food. so we made up our mine 

and drove to the nearest McD.

obviously i ordered my all time favourite, Spicy Chicken McDeluxe. which cost me RM8.35 included tax. that's very reasonably priced i would say, as nowadays, even the burger sold in mamak will easily cost you RM4.00 without drinks and fries, not the mention the size of the burger.

nyum..i just couldnt have enough of it..=D.

after we had our lunch, i came out with a brief review of the McValue Lunch based on the experience i had this time..=D..here goes..

1) Is it Economical And Good Value For Money?

Yes, it is, like i mentioned just now, a typical burger sold in mamak cost around RM4.00. where the Mcvalue Lunch cost just RM 6.25 included tax with soft drinks and Fries. so there you go, it

 is economical.=D. you can do the counting.=)

2) Can I Afford It?

The McChicken and Filet-O-Fish cost RM6.25 included tax, the Big Mac and Spicy Chicken

 Mcdeluxe cost RM&.30 included tax. So if you have at least RM8.35 to buy yourself a lunch,

 Yes, you can. but if you only have RM3.00..no, you cant.

RM6.25 is all it takes..=D

3) What If I Have Something To Do And Unable To Go McDonald?

that wouldnt be a problem because there's McDelivery service, all you need to do is pick up the phone and dial 1300-13-1300, place your order and wait for around half an hour. The best part is that you can save your petrol and time whilst still have time to do what you are doing.=D.

4) What If For No Apparent Reason, All F&B Shops in Shopping Complexes and Shop Lots Are closed And You Want To Get Something To Eat In Under 5 Minutes?

Well, that's not a problem at all, because almost all the McDonalds outlet are operating 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, which means no matter what happened, you can always go to the nearest Mcdonald and find out it's still open.=).

Semester Break Is Here!

The sky which i have always long to return to..=)..

finally, after so many days of preparing for the EASA exam, and all the exam is done, it's now time for me to have a break. =D.. the bad news is althought it's sem break, the duration of it is only 11 days. yup, you read that right, just only 11 days, thanks the genius who suggested that the EASA exam should be scheduled on our sem break, so he could enjoy his holiday without thinking bout the exam, a big thanks to you and let me just say, do be careful when you cross the road, because only god knows who might run you over while you are not looking*evil laugh*.

there's also another news, which is a very good one..=D....the other day i logged in into the airasia blog, they promised us an earth shattering news, and guess what? it is..=D..

if you had read my previous posts, i mentioned bout airasia will choose the top ten from all the shorlisted candidates right?=D..now they announced that they will not choose and all the shortlisted ones will have a chance to give it a shot in the pilot selection process..and that's not all, everyone will also have the oppurtunity to tour the air asia academy..=D..how cool was that?=D..that's indeed earth shattering.XD.

that means by now, i should start to do some revision on the SPM syllybus of Maths, Physics and English..=). i think english and maths shouldnt be a prob. so to those who's reading this and live near to my house, not to mention owns a physic spm syllybus book. can you lend it to me?XD..
